A Technologist plays a critical role in the workflow of operations or any team that relies on data to make informed decisions. Technologists gather and format data, work with stakeholders to understand their data requirements, and translate those into functional datasets for project or operational teams. Their primary responsibility is to provide complete and accurate data for oil and gas professionals to perform their tasks and analysis. I am open to any work arrangement that is best for you. Senior Geological Technologist, Enerplus Corporation

I was most recently employed as a Senior Geological Technologist in the Evaluations Team of the Business Development Group at Enerplus. My main responsibility was to support a multi-disciplinary team that was made up of Engineering, Geology, Geophysical, Land, Finance and Petrophysics teams. I collected and curated data for and maintained all the Team’s engineering and geological databases. I also assisted in the preparation of screening and evaluation documents and presentations. I have experience using the following software platforms:

June 2005 - February 2008

Evaluations Geologist, Canaccord Enermarket

Canaccord Enermarket was a full-service oil and gas acquisition and divestiture (A&D) advisory firm. I was responsible for geological evaluations of oil and gas properties, administration of client seismic database and assisting in preparation of marketing materials and proposals. Specific responsibilities included:

analysis and interpretation of well logs
subsurface mapping of zones of interest
incorporation of land and engineering data with geological data to produce a complete picture of client’s assets
uploading and preparation of seismic data for presentation
maintenance and coordination of Canaccord Enemarket’s client database
administration of company website

I studied in the Faculty of Pure and Applied Science and achieved a degree of Bachelor of Science with Honours in Geology. I published an Honours Thesis entitled, 'Stratigraphy, Petrochemistry and Economic Potential of the Silurian New Canaan Formation, Meguma Terrane'
